I was supposed to have a newborn session with this adorable little guy yesterday.... driving there I realized that it was QUITE foggy but I was thinking I could probably make the amount of light work for one little guy. The first little bit went ok thanks to some good sized windows in his nursery. Mr. L needed a little snack before I was going to be able to get him into that super deep sleep stage... unfortunately during his snack break it got even darker and I felt that if I kept going, I just might not be able to deliver the caliber images that I want for my client. So, as much as it pained me because I just love this super tiny stage, I suggested we reschedule ASAP and hope for a little more light from Mother Nature. Here is a small glimpse at the handsome Mr. L and you'll be seeing more next Monday!

Have I ever mentioned that I love my job? Especially when it means I get to snuggle adorable little babies...?? :)

This little man had a bit of a tough time falling asleep but hardly made a fuss about it even though he was most definitely having some pooping issues... Sorry T, I promise that's the last time I'll talk about your poop publicly. ;) I'll only talk about nice things like how you have the BEST creamy skin and the most perfect little features.

It's only day 9 but he seems to have just the sweetest personality... big brother is awfully sweet so it looks like he'll probably follow in his footsteps. I'm looking forward to seeing you grow during your first year and seeing the handsome toddler you will no doubt become!

Sneak peek... Mr. D, 8 days old...

it's been a while since i had a feisty newborn, i was getting quite smug in my newborn techniques. ;) this little one was wide awake and ready to party!

this was the little guy when i arrived, super alert and aware of his surroundings...

after a while, we were able to get him to sleep for a short time... with the help of mom filling him up and dad taking him for a couple trips around the block! :) seriously, this little one wasn't going down without a fight- all of the shushing and rocking and swaying didn't even phase him.

all in all, i got some great shots of the little peanut... and like i tell my boys ALL the time, "it's a good thing you're so handsome..." and in his case, sweet smelling and mini and perfect... because everyone loves you just the same, even if you scream all day long. :)

11 month old "big brother" tyson was not amused...



ps- i hope little man tired himself out so you guys could enjoy the bears game in peace. :)

Sneak peek.... Mr. G, 5 days old

all of these perfect newborns are not really helping my husband's argument to not have any more babies. i come home all gooey and happy, gushing about these perfect little beings. i think i'll have to bring him with me to a newborn shoot one time, maybe then i can get him on my side. this little guy was just the sweetest... not one peep (or pee, thanks buddy!) the whole time. i probably could have stayed there all day but i didn't want to push my luck and have him hate me for his 6 month photo shoot... geez, can you imagine how cute he's going to be then with all that great hair???
mama, as usual, looked flippin' awesome and once again i couldn't bring myself to hate her because she's happens to also be nice and fun and all together un-hateable. geez, some people have it all...

Sneak peek... Miss M, 10 days old and just perfect...

i'm going to just let the images speak for themselves... no point in gushing about how perfect and sweet and angelic she is when it will be obvious to you in just a moment when you see her. :)

Photography.... hanging with my favorite 2 week old...

according to my 4 year old, miss S is already super hero worthy. i was packing up some of little brothers clothes and he suggested we give his old superman shirt to her. i said, i don't know if a cute baby girl would like to wear a superman shirt? to which he replied, "OH! i know what super hero she can be!! wonder... wonder..."... "wonder woman?", i ask. "YEA!! she should be wonder woman!". so baby girl, i guess you've already been included in our boy world of all things super hero and you can be wonder woman when you come to play at our house. :)

Sneak peek... Miss S, 4 days old...

miss S is very used to hearing my camera clicking away, she's been hearing it for 9 months already... so it's old news to her. she just slept like a little angel and let me do my thing. hopefully this is the way it continues since i have a sneaky suspicion i'll be taking a lot of photos of her over her lifetime. i had such a lovely day with this wee one... she is so calm and peaceful, it would be hard not to feel the same in her presence.

Sneak peek... Mr. E, 7 days old...

this little guy has the most beautiful, creamy skin i have ever seen! no photoshop needed for this sweet little man (thanks for that, i owe you... i'll get you an extra big cake for your 1st birthday photo shoot...)!

he wasn't the sleepiest guy i've ever worked with but i whipped out all of my tricks (oh, and a little help from mom... that part i can't do...) and eventually he conked out for me. i'm so glad because once he was out, he was out and we got some beautiful shots!
can't wait to see you grow little man... i'm already looking forward to seeing how much you've changed at your 6 month shoot!

Sneak peek... Mr. H, 9 days old

this little man was determined to stay awake during my whole session with him... in the end, we won out but it wasn't easy, let me tell you! he just didn't want to miss anything or fall deep enough asleep where i could put a silly hat on him... he won that one, no time for silly hats today! :) all in all, i was able to get some great shots and even some "before and after" type shots that i love to do. enjoy the sneak peek, mom and dad... i hope i wore H out and he'll sleep for you tonight!

Sneak peek... The "K" twins

It was such a pleasure to have the opportunity to spend the morning with this lovely duo. These little ones were 4 weeks early so they were teensy-tiny. They were just about 9 pounds COMBINED. I just loved them so much, I wanted to bring them home in my pocket! They were so, so good to me and barely made a peep. They were especially content when they were snuggled next to each other. The bond between twins is so neat, and it was wonderful to be able to capture a little bit of that today. Thanks mom and dad for inviting me into your home and sharing your peanuts with me for a little while.
