Sneak peek... Jen, maternity

when a family of 3 is becoming a family of 4, the maternity session might be one of the last times for the older sibling to be the only star of the show. i tried to include big sister a lot today and give her lots of attention... and a couple special treats, as well. :) i know mom and dad will be great at finding special time for both of their princessess once baby girl #2 arrives within a couple of weeks.

i had such a nice time with this family today... i joked with mama that i'll be asking her if they need photos all the time because i was treated so well. coffee and baked goods upon my arrival and pizza for lunch?? i didn't want to go home! :) thanks for being such a great hostess... looking forward to meeting miss M soon!i think if you can still see your toes, you're doing alright. :)

according to my 4 year old, miss S is already super hero worthy. i was packing up some of little brothers clothes and he suggested we give his old superman shirt to her. i said, i don't know if a cute baby girl would like to wear a superman shirt? to which he replied, "OH! i know what super hero she can be!! wonder... wonder..."... "wonder woman?", i ask. "YEA!! she should be wonder woman!". so baby girl, i guess you've already been included in our boy world of all things super hero and you can be wonder woman when you come to play at our house. :)

I just finished editing this session and sent the mama-to-be her gallery information so she can view her awesome photos. I couldn't help sharing just a few more with you... I'd LIKE to share the whole session with you, it's just THAT awesome, but I'll refrain...

i've been feeling like i've been spending WAY too much time staring at a computer screen lately. i'm still figuring out how much i can take on before it starts feeling a lot like WORK and not the thing that i LOVE. lucky for me, when i'm sitting in front of of the computer for hours on end after a long day of working, mothering, cleaning, chasing, etc etc, i get to look at faces like this! what a ham!! thank J, for reminding me what i love so much about my job.

Sneak peek... Miss S, 4 days old...

miss S is very used to hearing my camera clicking away, she's been hearing it for 9 months already... so it's old news to her. she just slept like a little angel and let me do my thing. hopefully this is the way it continues since i have a sneaky suspicion i'll be taking a lot of photos of her over her lifetime. i had such a lovely day with this wee one... she is so calm and peaceful, it would be hard not to feel the same in her presence.

hope you love them so far mom and dad, more to come! :)

Sneak peek... Mr. E, 7 days old...

this little guy has the most beautiful, creamy skin i have ever seen! no photoshop needed for this sweet little man (thanks for that, i owe you... i'll get you an extra big cake for your 1st birthday photo shoot...)!

he wasn't the sleepiest guy i've ever worked with but i whipped out all of my tricks (oh, and a little help from mom... that part i can't do...) and eventually he conked out for me. i'm so glad because once he was out, he was out and we got some beautiful shots!
can't wait to see you grow little man... i'm already looking forward to seeing how much you've changed at your 6 month shoot!

i couldn't hold back from sharing this one with you! i'm in the middle of editing this session and came across this sibling shot. love, love, love it. it's so hard to get a great sibling shot with the 3 and under age group... but i think this is a winner. hope mama thinks so too. :)

i had two adorable little boys pay me a visit today. one, very willing to sit and ham it up for me... the other, not so much. i did manage to get some of both boys though (miraculously) and hope that next time, mr. j will listen to his mommy and take a nap. ;)

well there is no shortage of good looks in this family, that's for certain! wow, what a nice lookin' bunch! we had a busy morning running around in the lovely fall... ummm, summer?... weather. it felt more like late october than late august but we made the most of it and didn't get TOO wet and muddy. thanks for being such good sports today, hope you love your photos so far!

Sneak peek... Stacie & Matt, soon to be soccer mom &dad

the soon to be parents are both soccer players, so we had to incorporate a bit of a soccer theme into their maternity session. is it totally inappropriate that when i was looking at these photos i kept thinking, "he shoots... he scores!!"... ummm... yes, sorry, moving on...

the mommy to be is a good friend of mine and i'm just thrilled to bits to see her so happy and excited about starting their family. she is going to be an incredible mom and i can't wait to meet her little princess!

Sneak peek... Mr. H, 9 days old

this little man was determined to stay awake during my whole session with him... in the end, we won out but it wasn't easy, let me tell you! he just didn't want to miss anything or fall deep enough asleep where i could put a silly hat on him... he won that one, no time for silly hats today! :) all in all, i was able to get some great shots and even some "before and after" type shots that i love to do. enjoy the sneak peek, mom and dad... i hope i wore H out and he'll sleep for you tonight!

Sneak peek... Miss E, 18 months

I had a mini session with Miss E today to do her 18 month photos and get to know her and mommy a bit before baby brother arrives within the month. She is the most adorable little thing who will repeat just about anything you say from "awesome" to "absolutely". :) Mom and dad must be on their best behavior these days around this little parrot! She was one busy munchkin but made my day by giving me a big hug about 1/2 way through our session- so sweet! Great meeting you two today and I can't wait to meet baby boy in Sept!
